Made with pineapple juice; just a slightly sweet bread; rises very well. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon yeast |
1/2 cup water |
6 tablespoons sugar |
1 egg |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
1/2 cup pineapple juice |
1 teaspoon salt |
4 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Proof yeast in water. 2. Add sugar; mix in egg; add melted butter. 3. Add pineapple juice. 4. Add salt to flour. 5. Add flour to sugar mixture. 6. Knead for 10 minutes. 7. Let rise until doubled. 8. Make into rolls. 9. Let rise until doubled. I used an 8 inch pan. 10. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 40 minutes until done (browned). |
