Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2/3 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
quick 'n easy frosting |
Directions:
1. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg, beating mixture well. 2. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla. 3. Pour batter into a greased and floured 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool completely. Spread Quick 'n Easy Frosting on top and sides of cake. |
