Excellent substitute for picnics or family reunions if you want something different other than potato salad. My family loves it! Ingredients:
1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash brown potatoes |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 (10 oz.) pkg. cheddar cheese, grated |
16 oz. carton sour cream |
1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup |
2 sticks melted butter |
small box of corn flakes |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together using only half the butter. 2. Put in 3-quart casserole and cover with crushed corn flakes. 3. Pour in the other stick of melted butter over corn flakes. 4. Bake at 350* for 1 hour and 10 minutes. |
