So simple but so good. Vinegar is a great compliment to beets. I use cider vinegar instead of white. Ingredients:
1 (16 oz) can beets |
1/2 c white or cider vinegar |
3/4 c white sugar |
1 tbs cornstarch |
1 tbs butter |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Drain the beet liquid into a medium saucepan. To the liquid,add vinegar,sugar,cornstarch and salt. Bring to a boil over med-high heat. Reduce heat to medium;stir in beets and butter and cook till heated through. |
