Best way to eat beats even t he pickiest eaters love them. Ingredients:
harvard beets |
2 cups diced cooked beets (i use canned) |
2 t. sugar |
1 t. cornstarch |
1/4 tsp. salt |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
2 t. margarine/ butter |
Directions:
1. Drain beets reserving 1/3 cup liquid. 2. In pan: combine-sugar, cornstarch, and salt. 3. Stir in reserved beet liquid, vinegar and butter. 4. Stir using med. heat until mixture thickens. 5. Add beets and heat thoroughly |
