This is simple and very good. Ingredients:
1 can sliced beets (reserve juice) |
1/2 med onion (sliced) |
1 t. cornstarch |
2 t. sugar |
1/2 tsp. salt |
2/3 c. reserved juice and water |
1/4 c. vinegar |
dash of pepper |
Directions:
1. In saucepan, stir together cornstarch, sugar, salt and pepper. 2. Stir in vinegar and combined beet juice and water. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. 3. Boil and stir 1 min. 4. Add beets and onion and heat through. |
