I came across this recipe just a little while ago. Ingredients:
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon grated orange peel |
black pepper |
ground allspice |
1 (16 ounce) can sliced beets, drained, liquid reserved |
2 tablespoons cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon orange juice |
Directions:
1. Combine cornstarch, salt, orange peel, pepper and allspice in 1 quart casserole dish. Blend in reserved 1/3 cup beet juice, vinegar and orange juice. 2. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until heated. |
