This is a delicious dessert, easy to make. The tropical flavor of rum combines very well with the strawberries. You might offer cream fo9r your guests who don't count calories. Deliciossso!!! Ingredients:
6 cups frsh strawberries |
1/2 cup powdered sugar |
1 1/2 cups rum |
4 -6 shortcakes |
1 cup whipping cream |
1 dash powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Wash strawberies and remove stems. 2. Slice strawberries and put in a bowl. 3. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. 4. Add rum. 5. Let stand for 2-3 hours in a cool place. 6. Fold gently after 1 hour. 7. Divide strawberries among short-cakes. Pour juices from bowl over them. 8. Garnish with whipped cream, seasoned with powdered sugar. 9. Serve remaining strawberries alongside. |
