Linda Saby, 23rd Ward Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs hamburger (can use canned chicken or beef) |
2 cups potatoes, cubed |
3 medium carrots, diced |
3 tablespoons parsley |
1 large crushed bay leaf |
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder |
3/4 cup diced celery |
1 tablespoon sugar |
2 cups tomato juice |
1 1/2 quarts water |
2 teaspoons salt |
3/4 cup soup mix (from dry pack cannery) |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingrediants together (if using hamburger, brown first). Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Can also put in crock pot and cook on low for eight hours. |
