Comes from a United Churtch cook book. Great for serving large crowds Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 onion, chopped |
1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes |
2 cups water |
1 (10 ounce) can tomato soup |
1 dash parsley |
4 carrots, chopped |
3 stalks celery, chopped |
1 bay leaf |
3 (10 ounce) cans consomme (or 2 beef bouillon cubes in 2 cups hot water) |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown meat and onions. Drain well. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Cook at least 2 hours or use crock pot and cook up to 8 hours. |
