For a complete meal; add green salad or green vegetable and rolls.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, sliced into rings
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup medium grain rice
1 16 ounce can tomatoes, cut up
1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon worcestershire
1/2 teaspoon dry basil, crushed
Directions:
1. In skillet cook beef, onion, pepper, garlic until browned; drain.
2. Add rice; cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
3. Add undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, basil, 1 1/2 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt.
4. Bring to boiling.
5. Reduce heat.
6. Cover; simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
7. Stir occasionally
