I have the worst time with baked macaroni and cheese recipes. They all turn out dry and clumpy. This is the creamiest , not baked, but prepared on the stovetop. Ingredients:
1 pound ground round |
1 (1pound) package elbow macaroni |
3/4 pound velveeta cheese, cubed |
2 cups milk 1/2 cup sour cream |
1 tablespoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Cook macaroni per package directions, drain and set aside 2. Brown ground beef and drain off fat 3. Put macaroni in a large pot and mix in hamburger 4. Add all other ingredients, mix gently, and simmer over low heat until cheese is completely melted |
