More from Strictly Thrifty Menus using Bisquick. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
2 tablespoons instant minced onion |
1 -2 teaspoon chili powder |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 egg |
1 cup bisquick baking mix |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened |
3 tablespoons boiling water |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375*. Mix ground beef, onion, chili powder, oregano, garlic salt, pepper and egg. Spread evenly in ungreased 9-inch pie pan. 2. Combine baking mix and butter in small bowl. Add water; stir vigorously until dough forms a ball and cleans the bowl. ( Dough will be puffy and soft.). 3. Pat dough with floured hands into 9-inch square on waxed paper. Cut with scissors through waxed paper into 10 strips. Crisscross strips on meat mixture, peeling off paper. Form edge around inside rim with ends of strips. 4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. 5. Serve with Spiced Peaches, Carrot & Celery Sticks and Orange-Nut Cake. |
