This is the recipe as I remember my mum making it when I was wee. They were one of my favorite meals and I feel great that my girlfriend is rediscovering meat so I can let her taste my childhood. Ingredients:
1 lb minced beef |
2 onions, chopped |
50 g breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons ketchup |
2 tablespoons applesauce |
seasoning |
2 tablespoons butter |
100 g salad leaves |
3 crusty bread rolls |
400 g sweetcorn |
3 bell peppers |
Directions:
1. Throw all the ingredients into a bowl and mix up. 2. Shape into little balls (Like a golf ball). 3. Fry in a little butter until cooked. 4. Serve with salad, bread, peppers and sweetcorn. |
