Found this on the net, easy tasty kid pleaser. Ingredients:
3/4 lb lean ground beef or 3/4 lb lamb |
1 tablespoon oil |
1 teaspoon dried italian herb seasoning |
2 tablespoons tomato paste |
1 (14 ounce) jar pre-prepared jar bolognaise pasta sauce |
8 slices fresh bread, crusts removed |
8 slices tomatoes |
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. In a wok or skillet brown the meat in the oil. 2. Drain. 3. Add the herbs, tomato paste and pasta sauce. 4. Simmer gently for 20-30 minutes until thick. 5. Line a large greased muffin tin with slices of the bread and fill with meat mixture Top with a slice of tomato and some grated cheese. 6. Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. 7. *Nice served with salad and potato wedges. |
