I adapted Cooking Monster's recipe for Brown Sugar Glaze for Ham to make a lot less glaze - enough for a ham steak. The amounts weren't easy to reduce, so I made up new amounts and liked the glaze enough to post it here so I can make it again. Cheers goes to Cooking Monster for the original recipe. Ingredients:
1/4 cup finely packed brown sugar |
2 teaspoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon dried mustard |
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 tablespoon sherry wine |
1 tablespoon cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon water |
Directions:
1. 1. Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl. 2. 2. Place ham on a baking sheet and spread top with 1/2 the glaze. 3. 3. Broil 4 from heat for 5 minutes. 4. 4. Flip ham and brush other side with remaining glaze and broil for another 5 minutes or until done. |
