I don't like pickles in my salad, so when I made ham salad at the deli I used to work at I left out pickles. this is how I use up leftover ham my husband cooks in the crock pot. When cooked that way the ham has an almost bacon flavor and is salty; so adjust your recipe to your taste. Ingredients:
1 lb ground ham |
1/2 cup celery |
2 tablespoons mayonnaise |
salt |
pepper |
celery salt or celery seed |
1 scallion |
Directions:
1. mix in food processor until it looks right to you. 2. Add more mayonnaise if it looks dry. |
