MMM MMM Good! Ingredients:
1 pound fully cooked ham (diced) |
5 cups thinly sliced potatoes |
1 cup heavy cream |
1/2 cup milk |
1/4 cup finely chopped onion |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium to low heat. 3. Add onions and ham and sauté for approximately 2 minutes. 4. Gradually add milk and cream, stirring until thick and bubbly. 5. Do not boil. 6. Add sliced potatoes to cream mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer for 8 minutes. 7. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. 8. Top with cheddar cheese. 9. Bake, uncovered, for approximately 45 minutes, or until 10. potatoes are tender. |
