Ham and Grilled Onion Sandwiches |

I made this recipe up after a particular hunger craving for a hearty sandwich. Ingredients:
2 slices white bread |
6 baby spinach leaves, stems removed |
2 slices deli ham |
1 ounce havarti cheese (1 slice) |
1 small yellow onion, peeled |
2 teaspoons light mayonnaise |
Directions:
1. Slice onion in a few thin layers, sautee over med-high heat until browned. 2. Toast bread to desired darkness in convection oven or toaster. Spread one side of bread with mayonnaise. 3. Layer spinach leaves on top of mayonnaise, followed by the ham, onion, cheese, and bread. |
