Double for birthday brunch Ingredients:
10 ounces frozen chopped broccoli |
12 slices white bread |
4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese |
2 cups ham, diced and cooked |
2 teaspoons onions, finely grated |
6 eggs, slightly beaten |
3 1/2 cups milk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |

Directions:
1. Grease 13x9 baking dish. 2. Partially cook broccoli; drain well on paper towels. 3. Cut each slice of bread with a donut/star cutter. Fit scraps into prepared baking dish. 4. Layer cheese, broccoli and ham over bread scrapes. Sprinkle with grated onion. Arrange donuts/stars on top. 5. In a large bowl combine eggs, milk, salt, pepper and mustard; pour over the bread. 6. Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight. 7. Preheat oven to 325 and bake uncovered for 1 hour or until a knife would will come out clean. 8. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. |
