Another Fox family staple. It wouldn't be Halloween without a batch of Joyce's caramel corn. Ingredients:
7 quarts popped corn |
2 cups brown sugar |
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup light corn syrup |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. Cook brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt for 5 minutes. 2. Add vanilla and soda. 3. Coat corn with mixture. 4. Bake at 250 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. 5. Watch carefully to avoid burning. |
