This was made for me after the birth of one of my children... It was the perfect meal! We make this chili often now, and love it with Albers Sweet Corn muffins. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
2 teaspoons paprika |
1/2 cup water |
15 1/2 ounces kidney beans, undrained |
14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained |
1 1/2 cups celery, diced |
1/2 cup onion, diced |
1/4 cup maple syrup |
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar |
1 small can corn |
Directions:
1. Brown beef until crumbly & brown, drain off fat. 2. Add spices, water, beans & tomatoes and mix thoroughly. 3. Add everything else and bring to a boil. Simmer at least 30 minutes. I like to make this in the crockpot and leave it simmering on low all day. 4. Serve topped with shredded cheese and sour cream. |
