Haitian cuisine is a mixture of French, African, Spanish and indigenous cooking methods, ingredients and dishes. These are quite tasty, easy to make and will serve a croud. Ingredients:
8 slices of white bread |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1 cup milk |
8 slices of smoked bacon cooked and crumbled |
4 minced garlic cloves |
2 tbl of tomato paste |
salt, black and red pepper |
cooking oil for frying |
Directions:
1. Cut crusts off white bread. 2. Cut bread into small cubes. 3. Mix all ingredients except oil in a large mixing bowl. 4. Form meat mixture into 1 balls. 5. Preheat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet. 6. Fry meatballs turning often until all sides are brown and inside is cooked through (about 12-15 minutes.) |
