Home made spicy fries I'm working on. Ingredients:
2 lbs potatoes |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 tablespoon breadcrumbs |
1/4 teaspoon keans mustard (or any dry mustard will do) |
salt and pepper |
1 tablespoon oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400F for baking. 2. Mix flour, bread crumbs, dry mustard and salt and pepper in a bag or container suitable for shaking. 3. Wash and cut potatoes into fry shapes, coat with oil then add to dry mixture and shake. I usually have to do this in stages just to keep the dry stuff dry. 4. Grease a baking sheet with the left over oil and spread potatoes evenly across sheet. ( I sometimes use aluminum foil as well if I need to clean up in a hurry). 5. Bake for 40-45 min turning once or twice during cooking. |
