fairly quick and easy to make, and oh so usefull when making Greek Dishes. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 lb ground lamb |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon allspice |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 tablespoon onion powder |
1 tablespoon garlic powder |
1/2 tablespoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together well, so flavors all mix together. Put whole batch in a loaf pan. 2. Cook at 375 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. 3. Remove from oven, toss grease. put in fridge to cool, then slice thinly for uses. Loaf freezes well, so I usually make the loaf and freeze half, and use half for various Greek dishes. 4. enjoy! |
