My mom's recipe for this piquant crisp cucumber salad. Easy and delcious. Best eaten the first day or so if any is left! Ingredients:
4 garden fresh cucumbers, washed and left with skin on |
1 tbs chopped red onion |
1 head dill chopped |
1 cup white vinegar |
1/2 cup white sugar ( or splenda ) to taste |
good pinch salt |
Directions:
1. Slice cucumbers into thin rounds 2. Place in a bowl 3. Add the onion and dill 4. Pour on the vinegar, sugar, add salt and mix well. 5. Store in a non metal container ( glass bowl ) and chill severla hours 6. Stir before serving |
