This is an old recipe I found locally. The consistency of the dough is a bit strange, but these are very good. They are better the next day than when they are first made. Ingredients:
3/4 cup gumdrop, cut small |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup soft butter |
2/3 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 egg |
2 tablespoons milk |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. 2. Stir in gumdrops. 3. Set aside. 4. Combine butter and sugar. 5. Stir in egg. 6. Stir in vanilla. 7. Stir in milk. 8. Stir in dry ingredient mixture. 9. Drop by small spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. 10. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350F. 11. Remove from pan and cool on a rack. |
