From the low country and Gullah in South Carolina. Ingredients:
2 large sweet potatoes |
2 eggs, beaten |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 tablespoons margarine, melted |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup dark cane sugar |
Directions:
1. Peel and grate sweet potatoes. 2. Add other ingredients and mix thoroughly. 3. Pour into greased baking dish and cook in slow oven at 300 degrees F until done, about 1 hour. |
