A lovely fruit crumble! Ingredients:
125 g butter or 125 g margarine |
140 g cake flour |
40 g coconut |
40 g oats |
30 ml sugar |
10 ml baking powder |
410 g guava, halves, drained |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). 2. Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour till well blended. 3. Add the remaining ingredients, except the guavas. 4. Press half the mixture into a greased pie dish or small (about 10 cm in diameter) loose-bottomed quiche tins. 5. Place guava halves cut side down in the dish or tins. 6. Crumble the remaining flour mixture on top and bake for 20-25 minutes or till the crust is golden brown. 7. Serve with cream or custard. |
