This recipe goes with Mixed Grill Kebabs with Guava BBQ Sauce Ingredients:
1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable oil |
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1/2 cup guava nectar |
8 ounces guava paste or jelly |
1/4 cup molasses |
1/3 cup cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons tomato paste |
1 teaspoon ground allspice |
1 teaspoon smoked paprika |
1/2 teaspoon curry powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
hot sauce to taste |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté 3 to 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in guava nectar and remaining ingredients. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until mixture is slightly thickened. |
