I had a friend in college who was from Guatemala, and I got this recipe from her. Ingredients:
1 lb black beans |
6 -8 garlic cloves |
2 medium onions, chopped |
salt |
Directions:
1. In large kettle, cover beans with 2 water. 2. Add garlic. 3. Bring water to boil. 4. Turn fire down to soft boil and cover. 5. Cook 1 hour. 6. When beans are soft, add onions and salt and simmer 1/2 hour - 1 hour more. |
