Guacamole can stand on it's own and be eaten with corn chips. It is wonderful on top of a green salad, or served with cold chicken. the sky is the limit!! Avocados are in season in the winter. Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados, mash with a fork |
2 ripe tomatoes, cut in half inch chunks. |
a bunch of green onions, chopped |
good fresh salsa, with chiles as hot as desired. amount to taste (i have used tabasco to help balance flavors . |
salt to taste |
lemon juice to taste |
fresh cilantro optional (it is usually in fresh salsa) |
Directions:
1. DO NOT MAKE AHEAD of TIME, and use fresh ingredients. 2. After mashing avocado into chunky smooth texture, dump everything else into the bowl and stir together to combine. (the lemon juice and tomatoes will help keep the avocado from oxidizing. ) 3. Serve with a smile! corn tortilla chips are perfect. Also, minitindel's frozen margaritas !! |
