Authentic recipe from my friend's mexican mother-in-law! There were no measurements the first time I saw her make it. Ate just guacamole for dinner the first time I made it for my husband. Ingredients:
2 little yellow wax peppers (canned) |
1/2 green bell pepper, seeded |
1/2 yellow onion |
2 tomatoes, quartered |
2 cloves garlic, pressed |
2 avocados |
6 to 8 slices jalapeno peppers (canned) |
juice from 1 fresh lime (really important!) |
1-2 tsp cumin |
1 tsp salt |
1 tsp oregano |
Directions:
1. In food processor: 2. Blend first 3 ingredients with 4 pulses. 3. Add tomatoes and garlic, 3 pulses. 4. Add avocados, jalapenos, lime juice, and spices. 5. Pulse a couple more times. 6. Taste and correct seasoning. |
