Guacamole is best with ripe avocados. Ingredients:
2 avocados |
1/2 red onion, minced |
1 serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed and minced |
2 tbsp cilantro leaves, finely chopped |
1 tbsp lime juice |
1/2 tsp coarse salt |
dash pepper, freshly grated |
1/2 tomato, ripe and seeds removed |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
Directions:
1. Cut avocados in half. Remove seed. Scoop out avacado from the peel, put in a mixing bowl. 2. Mash the avocado. Mix in all ingredients except tomato and salt. 3. Refrigerate covered with plastic wrap directly on the surface to prevent oxidation. 4. Add the tomato and salt just before serving. |
