Just my take on guac. Ingredients:
1 large tomato, seeds removed and chopped |
1 tablespoon minced garlic |
5 green onions (it’s better if you only use the dense bottom portion), sliced, then minced |
1 tablespoon green chilies (canned works fine, adjust amount to your preferred level of spiciness) |
1 tsp coarse salt |
2 avocados |
1 large tablespoons (one dollop) sour cream |
juice of half of a lime |
Directions:
1. Mix the first set of ingredients in a bowl with half of the lime juice. 2. Cut both avocados in half, set aside pits, remove skin. 3. In a separate bowl, mush one avocado with the sour cream. Chop the other avocado and add it so that there are many chucks of avocado. Add rest of lime juice and mix. 4. Combine both bowls and mix, exerting care to not make the entire mix too mushy. 5. In order to preserve freshness, add both pits to the bowl, and cover with plastic wrap so that the wrap touches the guacamole and there is no are. 6. Refrigerate for at least one hour so that the flavors become infused. 7. Remove pits before serving. |
