sort of a less fattening shepard's pie. Raw veggies cut up and baked with the ground (browned) lamb and baked together until tender. I do not drain the lamb since I don't use store bought stocks. Otherwise I'd probably drain it and use 2 cups beef broth. Ingredients:
1 lb ground lamb |
2 tbsp butter |
1 tbsp olive oil |
2 cloves garlic |
1/2 cup carrots |
1/2 cup celery |
3 red potatoes |
1 tsp black pepper |
1 tsp kosher salt |
1 tbsp dry parsley |
1 tsp dried rosemary |
1 tsp dried thyme |
2 tbsp flour |
2 cups water |
1/2 cup 2% milk |
Directions:
1. brown lamb in butter and olive oil, add flour 2. chop up all veggies 3. bake together at 400 until tender, serve in bowls |
