A simple, quick to prepare weeknight meal for your family. It can be served over potatoes, pasta, rice or biscuits Oregano can be substituted for the marjoram, if you wish Ingredients:

1/2 lb lean ground beef |
1/4 c chopped onion |
1 c frozen mixed vegetables |
1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes, drained |
1(12 oz) jar beef gravy |
1/4 tsp dried marjoram leaves (3/4 tsp fresh) |
1/4 tsp pepper |
potatoes |
1 cup water |
2 tbl butter |
1/2 tsp garlic salt |
1/2 cup milk |
1 1/2 c mashed potato flakes |
1 tbl chopped fresh of 1 tsp. dried parsley |
Directions:
1. Cook ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium high until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain 2. Add all remaining stew ingredients; mix well. 3. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low; simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring ocassionally 4. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, bring water, butter and garlic salt to a boil 5. Remove from heat; add milk and stir in potato flakes and parsly. 6. Cover to keep warm. 7. To serve, fluff potatoes with a fork. Serve stew over potatoes |
