Simple dish for those days when you don't want to fuss with cooking. Ingredients:
3 potatoes, peeled and sliced |
3 carrots, peeled and sliced |
1/2 cup uncooked rice |
1 onion, sliced |
1 pound ground beef or turkey |
1 quart canned tomatoes |
salt and pepper to taste |
1 tbs brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Layer the ingredients as listed, ending with salt and pepper. If desired, sprinkle with brown sugar. 2. Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours. |
