Ground Beef And Vegetable Soup |

I don't recall where I found this recipe, but it's become a requested favorite. The mustard is a key seasoning that gives this soup it's unique flavors. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 lg onion; chopped |
2 cl garlic; minced |
1 16 oz can whole tomatoes |
2 st celery; diced |
1 md potatoes; diced |
1 lg carrot; chopped |
2 tb rice |
4 c water |
2 cu beef bouillon |
1/2 c ketchup |
1 c corn (frozen) |
1 c baby lima beans (frozen) |
2 ts brown sugar; loose packed |
1/2 ts dried mustard |
1/2 ts celery salt |
1/2 ts thyme |
1 bay leaf |
1/4 ts black pepper |
1/4 ts salt |
Directions:
1. Combine onion, garlic, and beef. Cook in skillet until brown. Transfer to a crock pot, add remaining ingredients, cook 7-8 hours over low heat. |
