This is a recipe from Dierbergs, a local grocery store. They always have great recipes, and this is definitely one of them. Ingredients:
1/3 cup ranch dressing |
1/3 cup light olive oil |
2 t red wine vinegar |
1 large clove garlic, minced |
1/2 t hot pepper sauce |
6 shrimp skewers |
10 to 12 cups chopped romaine lettuce |
1 cup provel cheese ropes |
1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions |
1/3 cup real bacon bits |
Directions:
1. In small bowl whisk together first 5 ingredients until well blended 2. Set 1/2 cup aside 3. Place shrimp on oiled grid over medium-high heat; grill basting with remaining dressing mixture until shrimp are opaque, about 2 to 3 minutes 4. In a large salad bowl, combine lettuce, provel, green onion and bacon bits 5. Drizzle reserved dressing mixture over top; toss to coat 6. Divide among 6 individual serving plates 7. Top each with 1 shrimp skewer |
