grilled pineapple and ice cream in a sugared wonton cup Ingredients:
1/2 cup chinablue tangy ginger sauce |
1 pineapple |
6 wonton wrappers |
2 tablespoons melted butter |
2 tablespoons granulated sugar |
1 pint ice cream |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375° and preheat grill to medium. 2. Remove skin, core pineapple and cut lengthwise into 1-inch spears. Marinate in chinablue tangy ginger SAUCE 20-60 minutes. 3. Brush each wonton wrapper with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Press into lightly buttered muffin pan, sugar side up, to create a cup. Bake until golden, about 7-8 minutes. Remove from oven, cool in tin, then transfer to cooling rack. 4. Grill each pineapple spear 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly caramelized. Reserve marinade to use as syrup. 5. Place one scoop of ice cream in each cup. Serve with pineapple spears and remaining syrup. 6. Serve pineapple at room temperature. |
