Combining Catalina dressing and orange juice always add a delicious taste to meat, poultry, etc., and this recipe is one an especially good one. The preparation time includes the 1 hour needed for marinating. Ingredients:
1/2 cup catalina dressing |
1 medium orange, juiced and peel grated |
2 green onions, chopped |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 lbs boneless beef top sirloin steaks |
Directions:
1. Peel orange, being careful not to get any of the bitter white pith; squeeze out the orange juice and grate the peels. Mix dressing, grated peel, orange juice, onions, salt, pepper and garlic powder in large shallow dish until well blended. Remove 1/4 cup of the dressing mixture; set aside for later use. 2. Add steak to remaining dressing mixture; turn to evenly coat both sides. Refrigerate at least 1 hour to marinate. 3. Preheat grill. Drain steak, discarding marinade. Place steak on grill rack and cook about 8 minutes on each side for medium doneness (160°F). Cut steak into 8 pieces. Serve with reserved 1/4 cup dressing mixture. |
