Grilled Mussels

this dish can be a main course with a side salad or as an appetizer,yummy
Ingredients:
24 green lip mussels
100g butter
3 cloves of garlic
100g pamesan cheese
enough water to cover
white wine,chardonay
1 tablespoon chopped bacon
Directions:
1. cream the butter and grushed garlic ,add the chopped bacon and put aside
2. remove the beards from the mussels and scrub and put into a pot
3. cover with enough water to cover mussels and bring to a boil
4. once mussels start to open but not fully remove pot from stove, discard any that havnt opened
5. shell the mussels and put mussel meat in one halve and lay out on an oven tray
6. spoon 1/2 teaspoon of wine into each mussel and a nob of garlic/bacon butter into each top all with an even amount of pamesan cheese, about1/2 tablespoon on each
7. grill under a hot grill until butter as melted and the cheese has melted and turned a very light brown colour
8. serve immediately while hot
9. enjoy
