This dish is a good spicy side dish for grilled meats, or a great addition to an Italian panini or sandwich. Combine hot and sweet so there is not too much heat.I serve with French baguette. Take the inside dough out and put the peppers in and enjoy. Ingredients:
pound sweet banana peppers |
1 pound hot banana peppers |
2-4 cloves garlic, minced |
4 tablespoons olive oil |
1/4 cup fresh, chopped parsley |
salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat the grill to medium high heat. 2. Grill the peppers until their skins are blackened. and then place them in a plastic bag and close. 3. Once the peppers have cooled to room temperature, remove the stems, seeds and skin and place in a bowl. 4. Continue until you have cleaned all of the peppers. Add the remaining ingredients into the bowl, and mix well. 5. Serve at room temperature. |
