Grilled Cheese a La Francais |

From Mademoiselle magazine April 1993. Ingredients:
1 egg |
1/2 cup milk |
2 slices ham |
2 slices swiss cheese |
2 slices white bread |
2 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. On a plate or in a pie tin, beat the egg and milk together with a fork. 2. Place the ham and cheese between the bread. Dip the sandwich into the egg and milk mixture, coating both sides. 3. Brown sandwich at medium heat (approximately 8 minutes each side) in a skillet in which you have melted the butter. 4. Serve with ketchup and Grey Poupon mustard. |
