Found this in a book in the history of and as I think cooked cabbage is very under rated I thought I needed to share. Ingredients:
1 large cabbage |
cream cheese |
butter |
minced garlic |
salt & pepper |
grated romano and parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Core cabbage (not all the way through) 2. Layer Ingredients and pack into core 3. Salt & pepper, Butter & garlic, Grated Romano and Parmesan cheese, and Cream cheese. 4. Repeat layers and top with Cream cheese 5. Pack it as tight as you can. 6. Wrap in foil and place on grill core side up. 7. The directions say directly over coals but I would argue for indirect and longer cooking 8. Cook until tender. |
