Grilled Blueberry Parcels With Blue Cheese! |

My mom used to make these, but I added the blue cheese. It gives it the sweet and salty bite. Dessert on the grill. What is easier than that? Ingredients:
4 firm ripe pears |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 tablespoon melted butter |
1 1/4 cups fresh blueberries |
4 tablespoons light brown sugar |
3 ounces blue cheese, crumbled |
fresh ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Peel the pears. Cut them in half lenghwise. 2. Scoop out core with a spoon and sharp knife. 3. Brush pears with lemon juice. 4. Cut four squares of heavy duty foil large enouch to wrap pear in a packet . 5. Brush with melted butter 6. Place two pear halves on each of the four squares, cut side up. 7. Mix blueberries and sugar. 8. Spoon into each pear half. 9. Sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles and freshly ground black pepper. 10. Seal the edges of each packet. 11. Cook on medium hot barbecue for 20-25 minutes. 12. When opening packet, steam my be VERY hot; use CAUTION. 13. Enjoy! |
