I found this recipe in our local newspaper, and thought it sounded so delicious!! Just I thought I'd share it with you - Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
2 tablespoons light brown sugar, firmly packed |
2 medium bananas |
2 cups light dulce de leche or 2 cups light vanilla ice cream |
1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping |
1/4 cup chopped pecans or 1/4 cup walnuts |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter with brown sugar, about 1 minute. Let stand for 5 minutes to cool; brush on bananas, reserving any extra mixture. 2. Grill or broil bananas, brushing frequently with remaining brown sugar mixture, for 8 minutes or until bananas are heated and lightly golden. Cut warm bananas into 2-inch chunks, then divide among 4 serving dishes. 3. Top with ice cream, drizzle with caramel topping and garnish with pecans. |
