Spiced up jalapeno poppers that are wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection. great appetizer for the big game
Ingredients:
slice 15 jalapenos lengthwise and remove seeds.
8oz cream cheese- spiced up(garlic powder, chili powder and cayenne pepper)softened -to taste
2oz shredded cheddar cheese
2oz shredded monteray jack(i use with jalapenos for that extra kick)
15 strips of bacon cut in half
30 toothpicks - soaked in water
Directions:
1. MIX THE SPICED CREAM CHEESE AND SHREDDED CHEESES IN A BOWL 2. FILL THE JALAPENO HALVES. 3. WRAP EACH JALAPENO WITH A SLICE OF BACON AND SECURE WITH A TOOTHPICK. 4. GRILL FOR 5 MINS ON THE BOTTOM SIDE FIRST THEN FLIP AND GRILL 5 MORE MINS ON THE TOP. 5. MAKE SURE TO SPRAY THE GRILL RACKS WITH PAM OR ANOTHER NONSTICK SPRAY SO THE PEPPERS DONT STICK. ENJOY!!!!!!!
