Grilled Asparagus With Salt-cured Ham |

Grilled asparagus has a wonderful and intense flavor...with crisp and salty ham it is great with drinks before the meal. Ingredients:
6 slices of serrano ham (or prosciutto or presunto) |
12 fresh asparagus spears |
olive oil |
sea salt |
coarse black pepper |
Directions:
1. Halve each slice of ham lengthwise and wrap around each of the asparagus spears. 2. Brush the ham and asparagus lightly with olive oil. 3. Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. 4. Cook on a medium grill for about 4 minutes, turning frequently, until the aspargus is tender, but still quite firm and definetly NOT mushy. 5. Serve immediately. |
